Clinical Supervisor - Ridgewood, NJ


Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our clinical support team. This leadership role will be responsible for supervising a team of 15 Medical Assistants, ensuring smooth workflow, optimal staffing, and high standards of patient care. The ideal candidate may be a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Certified Medical Assistant (MA) with prior supervisory experience in a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily oversight and leadership to a team of 15 Medical Assistants across multiple providers

  • Develop and manage staff schedules, coordinate PTO requests, and ensure adequate coverage for all shifts

  • Assign MAs to physicians and clinical areas based on workflow and patient volumes

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching, mentorship, and corrective actions as needed

  • Monitor and maintain inventory of clinical supplies; manage ordering and organization of materials

  • Assist with phlebotomy, rooming patients, or other clinical tasks as needed to cover staffing gaps

  • Serve as a liaison between MAs, providers, and administrative leadership to ensure seamless communication and operations

  • Uphold clinical protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards

  • Participate in hiring and onboarding of new MA staff

  • Generate and present regular supervisory reports to the Practice Administrator

Qualifications:

  • RN, LPN, or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) required

  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Proficient in EHR systems and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Phlebotomy experience required

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
