Overall, the practitioner will provide patient care and contribute to the Attending Physicians’ effectiveness by:
 

• Assessing patient health by obtaining health history and performing physical examinations
• Evaluate neurosurgical conditions by ordering diagnostic tests including: xrays, CT scans, MRIs, laboratory studies, etc. and interpreting and communicating test results
• Communicate with patients, families, nursing staff and other services in order to effectively implement attending physician directives
• Issue appropriate prescriptions and medications as necessary
• Document patient care services by charting in patient records.
• Independently perform office consultations and follow up visit
