Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner (Neuro) - Connecticut

SpineSearch is seeking to fill multiple openings for Physician Assistants to join a leading neurology team in a major healthcare system located in Hartford, Connecticut. This provider will be a part of a multidisciplinary team that delivers care for neurology, stroke and other complex disorders affecting blood supply to brain and spinal cord. Requirements:

• Master's Degree
• Connecticut Physician Assistant license
• Board certification
• Experience in neurology or related specialty preferred. Clinical rotation experience accepted

Responsibilities:

• Conducts physical exams, assesses health status, orders, and interprets tests, prescribes medications, and treats illnesses including giving injections.
• Take a patient’s medical history/record demographics
• Order and interpret tests
• Conduct physical examinations
• Diagnose and treat illnesses
• Write prescriptions
• Counsel patients on preventative care
• Involves inpatient stroke center
